Traffic Study
Southwark have commenced a study on the traffic flows and elimination of "rat-running" between Rye Lane and Grove Lane. The Council comments:
"This traffic study was designed to examine how the council could best improve traffic for all modes of transport and eliminate rat-running in the area between Grove Lane and Rye Lane, and was designed in part to respond to concerns relating to the impact of the closure and re-opening of the Camberwell Grove bridge would have on the traffic on Camberwell Grove, Lyndhurst Way and Bellenden Road (the points that cross the railway) and surrounding roads. To get a clear understanding, the boundaries have been established as a traffic “cell” bounded by main roads to best understand the flow of traffic within that area."
