Basement conversion and extension including removal of original solid
flooring and staircase, lowering of floor level and underpinning,
installation of four walk-on roof lights at ground level and associated
works.
The proposal involved extensive works changing the partially basement of
limited height to a full basement under the entire property with
pavement lights to the sides. Whilst well planned this seemed a dramatic
and expensive Kensington type proposal for this Listed building. They
have obviously had second thoughts:
