Construction of a loft conversion using an ‘L’ shaped rear dormer
extension with Juliette balcony, plus two roof lights to the front
slope, to provide additional residential accommodation & Construction of
a ground floor side and rear single storey extension.
The proposed rear dormer extension with extension over the outrigger
would appear to be within the scope of permitted development. The volume
may be more than the 40 M3 and therefore the reason for the application.
There are some but not many other loft conversions in this street. The
existing roof space height seems tight for conversions which may explain
this. None of those seen (from Google Earth) goes out over the
outrigger. This said the proposal would not seem to adversely affect any
adjoining property.
