Construction of a second storey extension and replacement of windows to
front and rear of existing terrace. The proposed extension would change
the Victorian house at 65 Grove Hill Road from being a replica of the
house at 67 Grove Hill Road into a replica of the house at 63 Grove Hill
Road.
This seems reasonable as long as the materials and detailing are
Victorian. The description of the proposed new windows as “sash type or
similar look” casts this into doubt.
The Camberwell Society has no objection to this application as long as
the new sash windows are timber and of traditional construction. This
should be a condition of any permission granted.
