Construction of rear extensions at ground, first and second floor levels
(including balconies) to extend existing flats 1, 2 and 3. Construction
of a mansard roof to create an additional floor for 1 x 1-bedroom flat.
The drawings are inadequate to show the building in context (besides the
site location plan).
The proposal is to extend the rear of the property (West) to the full
depth of the site with large flank walls overshadowing the adjoining
properties, of which no account is taken in the drawings, or any
documentation.
The plans and elevations of the property, drawn by a “structural design”
firm are very basic. There are no sections, so surprising that the
application has been validated.
The proposed balconies to the rear may give rise to overlooking of
adjoining properties, but as these are close to the rear boundary, this
will mainly be over the present carpark. In the future this carpark will
become the Daneville Road development as part of “Camberwell Lanes”.
The Camberwell Society objects to this application as lacking in detail
and seemingly overdevelopment of the site.
