Conversion to form 1 x 2 bed flat and 1 x 1 bed flat with bathroom and
extension.
This Listed Building is part of the parade of shops on the right-hand
side heading towards the Oval.
The upper two-bedroom maisonette seems to exist. The shop is noted as a
live-work unit. The shop front room is almost double storey before
stepping up to the rear room. So there is just a shallow storage below
the front, but the proposal is to add the rear basement derelict room to
the unit as a bedroom and to remove an ad-hoc lean-to rear extension and
reduce to just the outrigger renovating this as a bathroom, all of which
seems entirely sensible.
The unit will benefit from use of garden and reinstatement of the rear
wall and gate out to the service access to shops and flats to the rear.
The Camberwell society raises no objection to this proposal.
