Update - Dulwich Hamlets Football Ground - Extension for Comments!!

The deadline for comments on the attempted building on green space at Dulwich Hamlets has been extended to Tuesday 27th August. Friends of Dog Kennel Hill have a good summary on their website here

You can view the application and lodge your comment here

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Planning Application has been lodged to build on the Dulwich Hamlets football ground. The club would move to a new pitch and stadium to be built on the playing field behind. The Friends of Green Dale have indicated that they will be objecting strongly to the building on and enclosure of Metropolitan Open Land. The Camberwell Society will review the application and make our own comments. The deadline for responses / objections is 14th August so do look at the application (while there are over 100 documents you may find the "General Arrangement" Drawings most useful.

Jay Rayner Loves Nandine

The lovely people at Nandine's café in Vestry Road have done what we all hoped they would and opened a restaurant in Church St. Jay Rayner for one is impressed. His review in yesterday's Observer was unreservedly positive, read it here.

"Like everything here, first you look at it and sigh, Then you taste it, and sigh again."

Check it out: Nandine, 45 Camberwell Church St, SE5 8TR.
