Joining the Camberwell Society isn’t about sitting on the sidelines, it’s about getting stuck in and having a real say in what happens where you live. If you care about better streets, thoughtful development, proper transport, and keeping Camberwell’s character intact then this is your crowd.
The Society brings together people who don’t just talk about change but help make it happen, through ideas, action and a bit of persistence. You meet sharp, engaged local people who not only want to stay ahead of what’s going on but help set the agenda and be part of shaping a neighbourhood that we can all be proud to call home.

Join us and get involved with your community. The membership is annual and open to anyone who lives, works or is interested in Camberwell. Household, individual, and concession options available.

We have great events highlighted by the annual Gardens Day in June, a series of guided walks through the year, and a great Christmas Party each December.

There are tree drawing classes at Lucas Gardens, a picnic celebrating the Mulberry tree and even an outdoor film night at Ruskin Park.

Quarterly magazine
Your membership fee covers four copies each year of the Camberwell Quarterly (normally £3.50) and full access to our new website and a monthly newsletter.

Choose between individual, household, and concession (for those less able to pay). Although we take cash or cheque, we encourage people to pay by annual subscription via Direct Debit.

If you are already a member of the Camberwell Society, please ensure you are paying by Direct Debit.
To save administrative time and expense, members are encouraged to pay annual subscriptions by direct debit. If you are a member who does not already pay by direct debit, or standing order, please sign-up via GoCardless.
